Alethea started her career as a tech writer in Silicon Valley. At the Taproot Foundation, a nonprofit capacity builder that has delivered millions of dollars in services to nonprofits across the country, she managed national programs; built the professional services infrastructure to manage hundreds of consulting projects each year; launched Taproot+, a marketplace for skills-based volunteering; and co-authored Powered by Pro Bono, the nonprofit’s guide to engaging skilled volunteers. After Taproot, Alethea served as COO of a major NYC-based food access nonprofit, managing the production and delivery of more than 2M meals to > 8,000 low-income New Yorkers living with serious illness each year. She has also worked as a social impact strategist with companies such Cadence, Google, and Okta, helping them identify and scale their unique levers for change.
